MIT - Engineering Design & Rapid Prototyping | OpenCourseWare
Provides students opportunities to conceive, design & implement a product, using rapid prototyping methods & computer-aid tools. First of two phases challenges each student team to meet a set of design requirements & constraints for a structural component. A course of iteration, fabrication, & validation completes this manual design cycle. During second phase, conduct design optimization using structural analysis software, with the prototype as a baseline.
